"الأشخاص"، فقلما نرتبط بمكان خالٍ من الأشخاص والمواقف والأحداث، قد يكون له منزلة خاصة داخلنا إلا أن ما يجعلنا نعود دومًا إلى مكان ما بجسدنا أو حتى روحنا، هو ذكرياتنا مع قاطني الأماكن، وأحيانًا يكونون السبب في ابتعادنا إلى الأبد.
"المهن" أيضًا جذور وبخاصة عندما ترتبط بالعائلة وتتوارثها الأجيال، فكم من المهن بقيت على قيد الحياة لأن هناك من اهتم بها وعمل جاهدًا على تعليم الأجيال الجديدة أصولها، فصنع منها جذورًا متشعبة تمتد في كل مكان يذهب إليه "جذر يصنع جذرًا".
"الأماكن" أيضًا جذور بكل ما تثيره داخلنا من حنين وذكريات تجعلنا لا نغادر، ولو غادرنا نتوق للعودة ولا نبتعد كثيرًا، مثل منزلنا القديم أو منزل الجدات.
