رواية ميتا تاريخية
تدور أحداث الرواية حول شخصية الأميرة الكوشية أماني شاخيتو التي عرفت بالإلهة والملكة الأم أيضاً. وإن كان المسار الزمني للرواية يدور في حقبة القرن الواحد والعشرون، في حبكة أقرب للخيال العلمي. وتحكي أحداث الرواية عن طقس قديم يحدث كل ألف عام، حيث يجتمع الآلهة والربات لإختيار مجموعة من المختارين: صفوت عبد الحكيم أستاذ التاريخ بالمدرسة الاساسية، منير موسى فنان تشكيلي مقيم بجنيف عاصمة سويسرا، عباس الهباش المزارع وعامل اليومية بقؤية السواقي، و أماني أدروب حبيبة عباس التي حرمهما أبوها حامد أدروب من الزواج. جمعتهم الإلهة الأم أماني شاخيتو ليُعمّدوا وذلك عن طريق طقس يقوم فيه الربات برشهم من ماء "بوهين" المقدس، الذي يوضع على إناء "حس" المقدس المفقود، ويُعمّدوا كمنقذين ومعيدين لمجد الحضارة الكوشية من قبضة الشر. ويجري التحضير لطقس إعادة الإله آمون للحياة بتقديم فتاة عذراء كقربان "أماني أدروب"، حيث تفشل الخطة حين يكتشف المعمدون أن الفتاة التي إختاروها ليست عذراء في آخر لحظة. وتنهار كل الحداث وتتداعى تباعاً.
