كاتب وصحافي مصري، حصل على الدكتوراه في النقد الأدبي الحديث، والماجستير في الأدب العربي القديم. فازت روايته «سفر المرايا» بجائزة دبي الثقافية عام 2013، وحصل على جائزة «كتاب اليوم للقصة القصيرة» في 2014. له مجموعة قصصية عنوانها «نفق سري» صدرت في 2020. إضافة إلى كتابين نقديين: «المُناظرة والحجِاج» 2019، و«السلطة والحرية بنية السرد في سُداسية إبراهيم الكوني»، عام 2019.

نفق سري، نصوص قصصية قصيرة، تدور أحداثها بين أبطال مجهولين في عالم الأحلام القتيلة عبر صراع نفسي بين الإنسان وبين ظروف قهرية في مجتمع مشوه، يلقي بانتكاساته وهزائمه الإنسانية على العلاقات بين أفراده، بل بين الفرد وذاته، ليسلبهم حقهم في حياة عادلة، بعدما نال من سلامتهم الروحية والنفسية، أدرك المجتمع ذلك، أو لم يدرك.
تلاعب الكاتب مع الذاكرة، واعتمد تقنية الأحلام، ولعبة التوهمات، والهلاوس السمعية والبصرية في مناماته بمهارة لغوية تتوافق مع ما يدور من معارك نفسية بين أبطالها، ليغوص في أعماق شخوصهم، ويحوّل تفاصيل الحياة اليومية إلى مشاهد ومواقف سيريالية، تدور في عالم موازٍ، في محاولة لرصد طبيعة القبح الإنساني الذي يتولد عن تحطيم الأحلام المشروعة أو العجز عن الوصول إليها وتداعيات هذا القبح على أبطال هذه النصوص.
يصير الوعي الدرامي عبر الذاكرة بطلا في اللعبة، يحوّل التفاصيل اليومية إلى بنية قصصية مكثفة وموجزة، تكشف عن طبيعة هذا الصراع والمآسي التي يعاني تحت وطأتها من ألقى بهم القدر داخل دائرة الحدث، لينتصر عبر هذه النصوص إلى فعل المقاومة وحب الحياة بالفن والحكاية.
