شكلت وسائل الاتصال الحديثة مصدرا رئيسا من مصادر تلقي المعرفة في عصرنا الحاضر، حتى بات يوسم بعصر الاتصال، فقد لعبت وسائل الاتصال أدوارا تربوية وتثقيفية وتوعوية وأضحى يُركن إليها في خلق التوجهات والمواقف وتوجيه السلوكيات، فأضحت سلطتها ممتدة ونافذة في قدرتها على التغيير في الرأي العام المحلي والإقليمي والعالمي تجاه أية قضية تحملها أوعيتها.في خضم الحياة المعاصرة التي احتلت فيها التقنيات الاتصالية المعاصرة صدارة في التعليم والتثقيف والتوعية، فإن القضية الفلسطينية واحدة من القضايا التي يمكن حملها من خلال هذه التقنيات نشرا للمعرفة المتعلقة بها، وتعزيزا لمفاهيمها لدى الجمهور العربي والإسلامي، توثيقا لروابطه مع مقدساته، والاستفادة من الوسائط الفعّالة ذات القدرة في استمالة الجمهور الدولي ومخاطبته بأدوات وأساليب متنوعة تتناسب وطبيعته، بغية تشكيل رأي عام دولي يصطف إلى جانب القضية الفلسطينية.لذا فمعركة الشعب الفلسطيني مع الاحتلال هي معركة وعي بالدرجة الأولى قبل أن تكون معركة سلاح، فسلاح الوعي لغرس الثقافة بالحق الفلسطيني أكثر جدوى في عصرنا ومع هذا العدو في ظل المعطيات المعاصرة، في وقت بات يحظى فيه الرأي العام الإقليمي والعالمي بأهمية كبيرة في مجريات هذا الصراع، فالرأي العام يملك قوة وتأثيراً يفوق الكثير من الوسائل الأخرى في إحداث التضامن والمؤازرة للقضية الفلسطينية، كما أن عناصر التأثير التي يملكها الإعلام أضحت ضرورة مجدية في مقاومة الاحتلال، لذا فإن استغلال هذه التقنيات المعاصرة لخدمة القضية الفلسطينية، بات من شأنه تحقيق الكثير على المستوى الفلسطيني والعربي والدولي.
