تهدف الدراسة إلى إنشاء وتحليل (خرائط الاستكمال الداخلي)، للتعرف على التباين في درجات التلوث الصوتي الناجم عن الضجة المرورية والسائدة داخل الكتلة العمرانية لمدينة شبين الكوم على مستوى إجمالي المدينة وشياخاتها المختلفة، ومن ثم تحديد مناطق (الأزمات) التي تصل فيها مشكلة التلوث الصوتي إلى ذروتها، كما تحاول الدراسة التعرف على مدى الارتباط بين بعض الخصائص العمرانية والسكانية والمساحة المعرضة للضوضاء المرتفعة جداً والمزعجة داخل الكتلة العمرانية على مستوى شياخات المدينة، في محاولة لوضع بعض التوصيات التي قد تساعد على التخفيف من حدة المشكلة.
