إذا كان العقل الإسلامي قد اشتغل واجتهد قبل قرون لخلق منظومة حياة متناغمة مع مرحلته، فلماذا لا يجتهد العقل الإسلامي الحاضر لخلق منظومة حياة جديدة ومتطورة كما فعل سلفه؟ ولماذا يجتهد العقل الإسلامي الحاضر لقولبة الناس واختزالهم وتأطيرهم على آراء السلف؟
اذا كان زعم التشابه بالرؤية الإسلامية وبوحدة المسلمين ومنهجهم قد أطاح به الواقع وذلك من خلال تأريخ حافل بالتفرقة والدم والتباغض، فثمّة أقطاب مسلمون آخرون يدعون إلى التفرد والحثّ على النزعة الذاتية. ومنهم من أكّد أن تراثنا الديني، مجرد خلق وتحوير بشري بصيغة دينية، فأي اجترار أو دعوة باسم السلف أو الأئمة، إنما هي مجرد محض افتراء وتلبّس. ما عندنا هو الدين في حدود العقل البشري صياغة اجتماعية، وآراء بشرية، ولذلك نجد هذه الاختلافات الكبيرة والعميقة.
اعتق وأزح من ذهنك صورة النبي الذي لا تجوز محاورته أو عصيان أمره، صورة المقدس الذي لا يخطأ إطلاقاً واستبدلها بالمنهج النقدي العلمي، لكي تستطيع معالجة الإلصاق والاستيلاء الإرغامي لتأريخ الألف وأربع مائة عام الذي رافقك في حياتك وحركتك وفكرك.
استأصِل من ذهنك أيها المسلم وهماً قد اندس فيك فأبعدك عن نبيك، وغزا عقلك فقيَّدك عن التفكير في جميع إيماناتك وعقائدك. فثقافة العصمة والتقديس المطلق التي نفثها المغرضون في عقلك، ساقت المجتمعات الإسلامية إلى الانقياد والإتباع من دون تفكير أو تأمل، وأطاحت بمشاريع نهضوية كان لها أن تنجز لولا هذا الهذيان والاجترار.
