من الله عز وجل عليّ بالرحلة إلى الشرق، فكانت أولى رحلاتي إلى الفلبين قبل ما يزيد على عشرين سنة رحلة سياحية قصيرة غلب عليها التسوق. ولكن لم تكن تلك نهاية المطاف، فقد عرفت عن مؤتمر للرابطة العالمية لتاريخ الأديان يعقد بيخ طوكيو باليابان، فكانت أولى رحلاتي عام ١٤٢٤هـ (٢٠٠٤م) لحضور المؤتمر، فقضيت عدة أيام زيادة على حضور المؤتمر لزيارة جامعة طوكيو والمؤسسة اليابانية
