يضم هذا الكتاب خمسة عشر بحثًا هي مجمل بحوث الندوة العلمية التي نظمها النادي الثقافي بمسقط يوم 6 نوفمبر 2018م حول الإمام جابر بن زيد الأزدي (18هـ-93هـ/642م-712م)، وهي تسعى إلى قراءة فكر الإمام قراءة معاصرة، تنحو إلى المستقبل؛ وذلك للأثر العميق الذي تركه في بلده عُمان حتى اليوم. توزعت البحوث على محاور ذات أبعادٍ لم تُطرق من قبل، من مثل تأثير البيئة؛ البَصرية -والعراقية عموماً- ثمّ الحجازية، وقبلها العُمانية، على الإمام جابر، والرؤية الأخلاقية التي التزم بها، وأثرها في تغيير الواقع، والأبعاد التربوية لكونها أساساً نفسياً متحققاً في ذات الإمام جابر من الأصل، والفلسفة المثالية الواقعية التي واجه بها الطغيان الأموي، والفقه المقصدي الذي كان جابر من أوائل من أرسى معالمه، والبواكير العقدية الأولى لديه التي شكّلت ملامح الجدل الكلامي في ما بعد، وتحليل كتب من التراث احتوت على آرائه وأقواله.
