الكتاب صادر عن كتاب الرافد الالكتروني في دائرة الثقافة والإعلام في الشارقة، و عنوانه "قصيدة الومضة والنوع المفارق" وقسم إلى ثلاثة فصول:
- الفصل الأول: الومضة: النوع المفارق والبناء الضدي. تم الحديث فيه عن الومضة: الاصطلاح والركائز، وحضور الومضة في التراثين: العربي والعالمي.
- الفصل الثاني: الومضة "التفعيلة والنثرية" وحوارية الأنواع. وبسط الحديث فيه عن الومضة وثنائية السردية والشعرية.
- الفصل الثالث: العمود الومضة والبناء الضدي، وقد فصل القول في مصطلح العمود الومضة، وتناول تجربتين شعريتين, الأولى: للشاعر أمجد حميد بعنوان: "......"، ثم تم البحث في التجربة الشعرية الأنضج والأكمل للشاعر مشتاق عباس معن "وطن بطعم الجرح" ويذكر في هذا المقام أن الدكتور الشاعر مشتاق عباس معن أول من كتب في العمود الومضة، واجترح هذا المصطلح، وقد تم تخصيص فصل مستقل للعمود الومضة؛ نظرا لأهميتها، وحداثتها, وقلة شعرائها.
