تعريف
صلاح السيد محمود السروي. ولد في 5 يونيو 1957 بمدينة الزقازيق. تخرج في جامعة القاهرة سنة 1979، وحصل على درجة الدكتوراه في الأدب العربي الحديث والمقارن من "أكاديمية العلوم المجرية"، بودابست سنة 1990. يعمل حاليا أستاذا للأدب العربي الحديث والمقارن في جامعة حلوان.

لا تسعى هذه الدراسة إلى مناقشة أسانيد وأدلة أي من الفريقين المتصاعين حول مشروعية قصيدة النثر، بوصفها لوناً شعرياً معتبراً ومعترفاً به، ولا تسعى بالطبع إلى تأكيد صحة موقف أي منهما, وإنما تسعى، من خلال التأكيد على اشكالية هذا اللون الشعري، إلى دراسة قضاياه على نحو متأن وموضوعي، بعيداً عن انفعالي الرفض والقبول- العداء والتحيز، على حد سواء. وذلك من خلال دراسة: أزمة المصطلح ومشكلاته المفهومية دراسة مفهوم الشعر وعلاقته بالنثر، وما الذي يمكن اعتباره شعراً، ثم أخيراً محاولة لتقديم مقاربة أولية للملامح الجمالية وقضايا البناء والتشكيل في هذه القصيدة.
