الحمد لله الذي بنعمته تتم الصالحات ، فقد كان حلما وتحقق ، تعجز الكلمات عن وصف سعادتي بأول كتاب لي ودعني أصارحك عزيزي القارئ بأني لم أكتب هذا الكتاب لك وحدك ؛ بل كتبته لي أنا أكثر على الرغم من علمي بكل حرف فيه ولتقريب الصورة دعني أسألك كيف هي حال الأم وجنينها يتحرك في أحشائها ؟ ألا تشتاق لأن يخرج للنور وتتلمسه. هكذا أنا وهذا الكتاب الذي طالت فترة حمله داخل أفكاري وبعض دفاتري ، ومع أنه كان شبه مكتمل الأركان اللهم إلا بعضها كان قيد التوقف بسبب الكسل وقصة هناك لم يكتمل عقدها بعد أو تأخير بسبب البحث عن الكمال.
فاشل سابق لا يعبر عني فقط بل عن جيل بأكمله تاه وسط هذا الصخب مع أختلاف المسميات وبعض الأدوار ، وإذ إنه ليس ببلاغة وحجة العقاد ولا بدقة الوصف لنجيب محفوظ ولا بعمق وفلسفة مصطفى محمود إلا أنه سيظل محتلا الصفوف الأولى والمفضلة لدي حتى أذكر نفسي دائما أني كنت فاشلا سابقا تماما كوالد له ابن يعشق تفاصيله كيفما كانت هذة التفاصيل .
