يحاول المؤلف في هذا الكتاب إلقاء الضوء على أمور يجدها تتنافى مع الإسلام الحق، ليقول للناس: كفى نفاقاً وتظاهراً بالإيمان، فإما أن يكون المسلم مسلماً حقاً فيتمتع بأخلاق الإسلام الكريمة والإنسانية قولاً وفعلاً، أو لا يكون، فيتمتع بأخلاق الغرب الفاسدة والمادية الصرفة.
والمؤلف يهدف إلى ما فيه فائدة للناس عامة. ولجعل الفائدة أكبر فقد وضع في نهاية الفصل الأخير جدول تقييمي ذاتي على شكل اختبار يقوم به القارئ بكل صدق وصراحة مع النفس، بحيث أن كل قارئ يستطيع أن يختبر مدى إنسانيته الحقة بالمقارنة مع المثل الأعلى للإنسان، وبالتالي يسعى نحو الأفضل.
