هذا الكتاب دليل علمي وعملي لكل سائح يريد أن ينعم برؤية ما حباه الله لسورية من طبيعة جذابة، ومن تاريخ عريق، وأماكن أثرية قديمة، ونظراً لأهمية السياحة الدينية في سورية، فقد تفرد الكتاب في تسليط الضوء على أهم أركانها، من جوامع ومساجد وكنائس، وأديرة ومناسبات وأضرحة ومقامات، كما ويتضمن سرداً للأوابد التاريخية والمعالم الأثرية حسب توزعها الجغرافي، بما يلبي حاجة السائح من التعرف بها وذكر لأهم خصائصها وصفاتها.
وبالعودة لأقسام الكتاب نجد أن المؤلف قد قسمه إلى أربعة أبواب، خصص الأول بفصوله الخمس للكشف عن إمكانيات سورية السياحية الطبيعية، بينما تناول في الباب الثاني بفصوله التسعة المعالم السياحية التاريخية والأثرية في سوريا، ليتم في الباب الثالث بفصوله الثلاثة عرض مقومات السياحة الدينية في سورية من جوامع وكنائس وأديرة وأضرحة ومقامات، وتضمن الباب الرابع والأخير بفصليه تقويماً لحجم الحركة السياحية، ونوع السياحة والسياح في سورية، وختم الكتاب بملحق ضمنه عشرات الصور الفوتوغرافية الملونة والتي تمثل بعض المعالم الأثرية الشهيرة في سورية.
