النبوة شأن سماوي اختص به الله من شاء من عباده الخلص وأرسلهم إلى عباده ليخرجوهم من الظلمات إلى النور، وما بين سيدنا آدم وخاتم الرسل محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم آلاف الأنبياء والرسل كما تقول كتب التاريخ والتراث.
واليوم تسود العالم ديانات سماوية ثلاث (اليهودية –المسيحية –الإسلام) ومن هذه الديانات الثلاث كان للفكر البشري قيمه وأخلاقياته.
وقد لاقت هذه الديانات السماوية عبر تاريخها الطويل الكثير من الصعوبات والمتاعب، ولكن إرادة الله كانت هي الأقوى والأمضى وأتم الله أمراً كان مقضيا.
من بين هذه التحديات والمصاعب التي واجهتها الأديان السماوية كانت مشكلة المتنبئين أو أدعياء النبوة، الذين لم يدخل الإيمان إلى قلوبهم، ولم يدركوا بأن النبوة أمر سماوي يخصه الله بمن يشاء.
والكتاب الذي بين أيدينا سجل توثيقي يرصد ظاهرة "ادعاء النبوة" التي بدأت مع بداية الخلق، ولني تنتهي إلا بانتهائها كما تشير الوقائع والمعطيات التي نسمع عنها باستمرار.
