وكتاب "سرقة التاريخ" يناقش عدداً من المنظرين بالتفصيل، ومن جملتهم ماركس، رويبر، ونوربرت إلياس؛ ويشتبك بإعجاب نقدي مع مؤرخين غربيين من أمثال فيرناند برودل، وموسى فينلي، وبيري أندرسون، وتثار أسئلة عديدة من المناهج المطبقة في هذه المناقشات.
