تضم هذه الدراسة تساؤلات مهمة عن ثقافة الحرمان الجنسي، التي تناولت شريحة من شرائح المجتمع، مبينين في السياق نفسه الموضوعات التي كانت سبباً لحرمانهم الجنسي، والأخرى التي أوجدت الآلية التي يتعامل معها الذين يعانون من الحرمان الجنسي، إن أهمية دراستنا تكمن في، إن بعض الأفكار قد، تُعرض البناء الاجتماعي للقلق والاضطراب وتصبح في ظل بعض الظروف ملتهبة ومتفجرة ومدمرة وخطيرة كما يقول مانهايم . يُعّد الجنس أحد المحرمات، أو مصادر الخطر الرئيسة في حياتنا وهي، (الجنس، والسياسة، والدين)، وإنّ الاهمية تكمن في أنّ مجتمعنا ما زال يلقي بظلال تحريم ثقيلة على بعض الموضوعات ومنها الجنس منطلقاً من ثلاثية، (العيب، والممنوع، والحرام) وإن هذه الدراسة مستمدة من موضوعها ومن غايتها الأساسية وهي الكشف عن بعض جوانب الجنس الخفية في حياتنا الاجتماعية .
وهناك ناحية أخرى من هذا الموضوع جديرة بأن نتطرق اليها في هذه الخلاصة من الدراسة، هي ناحية الاهتمام الشديد بالأمور الجنسية من قبل مجتمعنا وكما يقول الدكتور علي الوردي: نحن من أشد الأمم اهتماماً بالأمور الجنسية، ونستطيع ان نستدل على ذلك بالشتائم العامية الشائعة بيننا فقلما يتشاتم العامة من دون أنّ يكون لتلك الأمور أثر في شتائمهم المتبادلة، وهم لا يشتمون الفرد إذا كان في علاقاته الجنسية (فاعلاً) فذلك في نظرهم من إمارات الغلبة والرجولة، إنما العار كل العار أنّ يكون هو أو أحد أفراد عائلته (مفعولاً به).
