وقد قام الباحث من أجل ذلك بإجراء دراسة فنية تحليلية تهدف إلى صياغة تصوّر واضح عن درجة تأثر الكاتبة بأشكال التّراث المختلفة، ومدى تفاعلها مع الواقع الفلسطيني المعاش، عبر تطور المراحل الإجتماعية، والسياسية، والإقتصادية.
يعود إختيار هذا المسار البحثي إلى قناعة راسخة بأهمية التراث وإعادة إحيائه والمحافظة عليه، وتأكيد وجوده، بوصفه أحد الركائز الأساسية في ربط الفلسطيني بأرضه وماضيه، وبهويته الإنسانية والوطنية، بطريقة تساعد على تعزيز ثباته في مواجهة محاولات الإجتثاث والتغريب للإنسان الفلسطيني.
كما تناول البحث التوظيف الديني الإسلامي من آيات وأحاديث نبوية، والمسيحي، واليهودي، كذلك عرض البحث لتوظيف التراث الأدبي العربي من شعر ونثر، وتوظيف التراث التاريخي الإسلامي، والعربي، والعالمي، والفلسطيني، كما تطرق لدراسة الأسطورة والتراث الشعبي من أمثال وقصص وحكايات شعبية، وتناول البحث مدى إستفادة النص الروائيّ من توظيف التراث بمختلف أشكاله.
