هذا كتابٌ، يُعالجُ قَضايا وإشكالاتٍ في اللّسانيّاتِ واللُّغويّاتِ العربيّةِ، في إطارٍ "المَعْرِفَةِ اللُّغويَّةِ"، ويُرَادُ مِنْهُ بَيَانُ عَلاَقَةِ النّظرِ النّحْوِيّ بِلِسانِ العرَب بَياناً جَديداً يعتَمِدُ المقارباتِ اللّسانيّةَ، في مَواضعَ تَطْبيقيَّةٍ مَخْصوصَةٍ، وتَنْزيلُ أدواتِ الوَصْفِ على ظواهِرِ العَرَبِيَّةِ، وإطارٌ معرفيٌّ يُتَوَخّى منه تَأسيسُ مَعْرِفَةٍ لُغَويَّةٍ في قسميْها النّظَريّ والإجْرائيّ...
وتقومُ هذه "المعْرِفَةُ اللُّغَوِيَّةُ" عَلى وَضْعِ تَصَوُّراتٍ وأفكارٍ عامَّةٍ، لِفَهْمِ الظّاهِرَةِ اللُّغويَّةِ، سَواء في بُعْدها التُّراثيّ الحَيِّ الذي يُشْهَدُ لهُ بالإستِمْرارِ، والتُّمَكُّنِ في مَواكَبَةِ تَطَوُّرِ الدَّرْسِ الِلّسانيّ المُعُاصِرِ، أوْ في إطارِ المُوازَناتِ بَيْن النَّماذِجِ والإجتهاداتِ المقترحةِ لِوَصْفِ الظّواهِرِ اللُّغويَّةِ وتَفسيرها، أو في إطار إجْراءِ مُقّرَّراتِ النَّحوِ واللّسانيّاتِ، عَلى النُّصوص عامّةً.
