إن نظرة سريعة على المقررات الدراسية ومضامينها في كليات ومعاهد وأقسام الإتصال والإعلام في العالم العربي توحي بترهّل أغلبها وعدم مساوقتها للواقع؛ فالحراك المتسارع الذي يطبع العالم الخارجي، والظواهر الإعلامية تحديداً، غالباً ما لا يجد له صدى في هذه المقررات، ذلك أن القائمين عليها إما من المعظمين للتكنولوجيا والمحتفين بها والذين يعتقدون في قدرتها التحويلية غير واعين بأن هذه التكنولوجيا لا يمكن أن تتجاوز كونها أداة في خدمة فكرة؛ وإما من المؤدلجين الذين لا يحسنون غير فن الخطابة والإختباء وراء مقولات دوغمائية حفاظاً على مصالحهم وتكريساً للرداءة التي يحرصون على إنتاجها بكل الصور والأشكال.
إن لهذا المتن "حسنات" كثيرة، منها أن الباحثة اعتمدت في مقاربتها وقراءتها لهذه الإشكالية على الجمع بين زاد فكري متنوع وثري في الرؤية والمفاهيم، أنتجته سنوات طويلة في البحث والتدريس، ومعرفة دقيقة بقضاء الممارسة المهنية، خاصة داخل لبنان، حيث عمدت إلى تقصي آراء كل الفاعلين من أكادميين ومشرّعين ومهنيين وطلبة، وهو ما يؤهلها إلى مقاربة هذه الإشكالية بكفايتين مهمتين: الكفاية المعرفية والمفاهيمية، وكفاية معرفة الفضاء المهني موضوع الدراسة.
وقد عززت رؤيتها ومنهجها بفضول مدخلية مهمة تتبّعت فيها السياقات الإجتماعية والفكرية التي ظهرت فيها علوم الإعلام والإتصال، وكيف تشكلّت شبكتها المفاهيمة، ومساراتها في الغرب والعالم العربي بعد ذلك.
وقد اجتهدت الباحثة، بعد إستعراضها لواقع التأهيل في العالم العربي ولبنان تحديداً، في تقديم رؤية "إصلاحية" لتجاوز "القطيعة" بين الفضاءين، حرصت على صياغتها صياغة عملية، ودعمتها بخلاصات وتوصيات تُمكّن، إذا أحسن إستثمارها، من إعادة تأسيس علاقات سوية بين عالم الأكاديميا وعالم السوق...
