وعن عمله هذ يقول الشاعر: ".. ليس هذا كتاباً، إنه لغة تشغف كلما حرك الله فيها كلاماً، كلما غيَر إيقاعها في الطبيعة، لغة كالوشيعة، تنهال ألوانها، كلما نام خيط الضباب بها، كلما اختل فيها نظام، كل هذا كلام من الله، يخرج عبر حدود الكتاب".
في قصيدة بعنوان "على وطنٍ يخشى الفتى" يقول شاعرنا: "هذي بلاد لا أميزها/ دخانٌ أم يد مغلولة أم فكرة تهوي؟/ بلادٌ، كانت الصحراء تمضي/ فاستحالت حاضراً../ مستقبلاً../ من أين لي/ ماذا اسمي خيمةً في الرمل/ لا ماء ولا غجر/ ولا يصغي إليك الغيم/ حين يقول/ نمضي للأفول (...)".
