من مواليد بلدة مغدوشة، لبنان الجنوبي، 1970.
أنهى شهادته المدرسية في لبنان ثم انتقل إلى جنوب أفريقيا سنة 1990، حيث تابع دراسته العليا وحاز شهادة في المعلوماتية.
يعمل ويقيم حالياً في مدينة جوهانسبرغ.
متأهل وله ولدان.
شارك في عدد من لجان الاغتراب، وكتب مقالات تعالج حياة الغربة وتحدياتها.
"حقائب الذاكرة" روايته الأولى، وصلت إلى القائمة الطويلة للجائزة العالمية للرواية العربية 2012.
