Book Description
يأتي هذا الكتاب من ضمن سلسلة (النوارد والطرائف) وهو الكتاب السابع وعنوانه "طرائف الكتاب". جاء الكتاب من إعداد جودت فخر الدين ورسوم جمال درويش.
يضم الكتاب منتخبات من أخبار الكُتّاب وطرائفهم وأحوالهم، يمكن أن يشكل إضافة للمكتبة العربية، والمكتبة الأسرية، يتعرف من خلالها القارىء إلى وجوهٍ مختلفة للمكانة التي تمتعت بها الكتابة في مراحل طويلة من عصور الخلافة الإسلامية.
يبدأ الكتاب بنبذة عن تاريخ الكتابة في العصور الإسلامية، ابتداءً من خلافة عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه. وإذ يشير المؤلف أن الكاتب بدأ عمله مدوناً للدواوين، ثم راح شأنه بعد ذلك يعظم شيئاً فشيئاً، لأن الخلفاء والولاة أخذوا يستعملون الكُتّاب كأصحاب رأي ومشورةٍ لهم.
من عوالم الكتاب نقرأ:
"ما ينبغي للكاتب أن يتحلى به" قال إبراهيم الشيباني: أول ما ينبغي للكاتب أن يتحلى به حسنُ الخط الذي هو لسان اليد، وبهجة الضمير، ووحي الفكرة، وسلاح المعرفة، وأنسُ الإخوان ومجاذبتهم، وحفظ السّر.
وقال الفضل بن سهل، وزير الخليفة المأمون، لكتابه:
قاربوا بين الحروف، لئلا يسافر البصر سفراً بعيداً في حروفٍ قليلة.
