"وصحا الحالم من فرحته، فرأى الدنيا وشاحاً أسوداً ورنت فخلت بأنني قدر تلاقى مع قدر الشوق يدنيني إليك فكلما رفت جفوني خلتها تدنيني، فأكاد من شوقي أطير مغرداً، وأكاد من فرحي أقول خذيني، من أجل عين ألف عين تكرم وفدى الهوى كل الجراح توهم، وحضنتها وكأنها حلم وتشابها.. فتقارب البعد".
تقرأ "القضبان في عيوني" للدكتور الشاعر أحمد طحان، وقبل أن تجرؤ على ردة الفعل يدخلك الشاعر في طقوسه الخاصة، شئت أم لم تشأ. هكذا فر البيت من بين أنامله، وهكذا تكور قمر المعنى في ذهنه.. وكأني به إذا جادلته في عبارة أو معنى أو صيغة ما يجيبك: يا أخي هكذا خرجت من خاطري، هكذا... أحبها كما هي، وهذا إيقاعها ووزنها، إيقاع نفسي ووزن الوجد في، فلا تعبث بذاتي.
فعلاً، حين يدخل الشاعر في طقسه الخاص مع أبنائه، يوزعهم في حدائق قصائده، يحتفي بولوعه لهم، ويبدأ بمداعبة كل فرد منهم باستفزاز وبطرافة دافئة وحب كبير. متيم بأسرة ليس لنا إلا أن نحب أفرادها. أتخيله في أوج ابتسامة وفرحة وهو يكتب قصيدته عن عياله وهو في كل معنى يكتبه إنما يحقق أبوة فائضة واستثنائية إضافية لا يتسع لها إلا سقف المجاز.
