وهذا الكتاب جميل وضعه جلول الشاعر وسكب فيه القوافي الرائعة وجاءت المباني مترادفة مع المعاني، إذا تليت الأشعار تسمع فيه طرب الموسيقى، وتسرح بمعانيها بأفق الخيال الواسع، وتتنشق في إكسيرها عبير العطر الفواح، وتزود العقل بخميرة وافية من عبر الحياة، وإذا قرأته رأيت السلاسة والبساطة، والوضوح والجمال والبراءة والطهارة، كأن هذا الديوان روضى يجمع أعذب المياه، وأجمل الفراشات وأحلى الأزهار يدغدغ أوراقها نسيم عليل يحب الفؤاد. سئل بعض الملوك عن مشتهاه فقال: "حبيب انظر إليه، ومحتاج انظر له، وكتاب انظر فيه ومما لا شك فيه أن كتاب الشاعر عدنان جلول هو ما كان يقصده الملك المذكور.
