شارك في عديد من الجوقات الوطنية، تعرَّف على المرحوم الشاعر الكبير الأستاذ علي الحاج القماطي الذي عرَّفه بدوره على مؤسس المنبر الزجلي المرحوم شحرور الوادي أسعد الخوري الفغالي وشارك معهم في إحدى حفلات جوقة الشحرور على منبر كازينو عين الرمانة، ثم ذاع صيت الشاعر فرحان وتعرف عليه آنذاك أمير الزجل اللبناني بلبل الأرز وليم صعب وأحيا عدة مناسبات معه كما وضع فرحان العريضي مجلة البيدر وطلبه الشاعر الكبير كروان الوادي كميل خليفة وشارك في جوقة الكروان وله العديد الوافر في مجلة الكروان وله عدة جولات منبرية مع السادة الشعراء طانبوس زغيب، قاسم العبّاوي، عباس الحوميني، عبد الجليل وهبة، إبراهيم هزيمة، مزيد حمزة وشارك في جوقة زغلول الدامور التي كانت مؤلفة من الشعراء السادة زغلول الدامور والسيد محمد المصطفى، وخليل روكز، وفرحان العريضي ومن ثم ألَّف جوقة الزجل برئاسته وله العديد من التسجيلات الإذاعية.
ومن مؤلفاته العبير والذخائر وقد اشتهر بالتأريخ ويعتبر "مؤرِّخ عصره" وله مئات تواريخ الولادة وغيرها وله عدة لماآت إرتجالية مع كبار الشعراء الأساتذة طليع حمدان وأحمد السيد، وخليل شحرور.
