من المعلوم أنّه قد صار اليوم أمر رسم تعريف جامع مانع للنّقد الأدبي وتحديد أدواته أو مجمل وظائفه في سائر أبعادها المعرفيّة والجماليّة، مطلباً عسير الإدراك، نظراً إلى التطوّر المتسارع الذي يشهده نسق إنتاج المفاهيم وبناء النظريّات في مجال الحقول المعرفية المجاورة للنقد الأدبي كالّلسانيات وعلوم النصّ والبلاغة الجديدة والفلسفة وعلم النفس المعرفي... وتحت تأثير ما يحدث، في غيرها من المجالات العلميّة التي تمثل روافد ابستمولوجية ونظرية لتشييد النظام المعرفي الخاصّ بمتن النظرية الأدبيّة وبناء المنهج وإدراك شروط إمكانه، وفقاً لما تطرحه حيثيات ممارسة التحليل والقراءة.
ذلك أنّ إستخدام المناهج الحديثة والمعاصرة مناويل وأدوات لقراءة النصوص الأدبيّة (السردية والشعريّة) على إختلاف اجناسها أو النصوص غير الأدبية في تنوّع حقولها المعرفية والإتصالية، صار موضوعاً يطرح إستمرار إشكاليات معقّدة، تتّصل في عمقها بمفهوم النقد والقراءة والنصّ والخطاب، والفنّ، وتحيل، أيضاً، إلى طبيعة الخلفية المعرفيّة والعلمية لإنتاج المفهوم وتشييد النظرية وبناء المنهج، حيث ارتبط مشكل إستخدام المنهج بنتائج الإجراء التطبيقي لأدواته من جهة قضيّة إدراك المعاني والدّلالات، أو الإحاطة بأغوار النصّ وعوالمه الممكنة، وذلك عبر فكّ شفرات نسيج لغته وإكتشاف رمزية أبنيتها، بحثاً عن وجوه دلالتها على المعنى.
ولمّا يتعلّق الأمر بالنصّ الأدبي التخييلي، تصبح إمكانية معرفة خصائصه الفنيّة والجمالية الّتي تمثّلها شعرية خطابة وبنيات أسلوبه، هي الإشكالية المركزية الأولى، إذ من خلال تلك الأبعاد (شعرية الخطاب، وجمالية اللّغة)، عُدّ النصّ عملاً أدبياً، لكونه إمتاز فنياً وجمالياً عن الكلام العادي، واختلف، بوصفه فنّاً تخييلياً مادّته اللّغة، عن سائر أشكال الخطاب الإتصال الأخرى.
ذلك ما سعت فصول هذا التأليف ومباحثه المحورية إلى محاولة دراسته ومقاربة مسائله، ومن ثمّ طرح فرضيات لإمكانيات تجاوزها، تطلّعاً إلى توسيع آفاق القراءة وتنويعاً لمسارات النقد بما هو فنّ للفهم، وإحياء للنصّ، وإعادة إنتاج له، يكون مستندها الأساس ذاك التفاعل الخلاّق بين النص والقارئ / الناقد.
