إن دراسة الحقيقة الدينية من ضمن إشكالية المعرفة، لكن من خارج منطق التسليم الإيماني، إنما يجعل منها مسألة كلامية لاهوتية أولاً، ثم مسألة ميتافيزيقية ثانياً. ولما كان الفكر الصوفي النظري يؤثر التجربة الروحية والرؤية الكشفية منهجاً في إدراك المعرفة، فقد أسس لنفسه أفقاً معرفياً خاصاً به يفهم من خلاله حقيقة الميتفيزيقا ومشكل الوجود وماهية الإنسان كافة، وتتراءى له من ثم حقائق الأديان وأصول العقائد على الهيئة التي سطرت بها في "الأول".
ولفهم حقيقة الأديان من خلال هذا الأفق الصوفي، فقد درسنا الموضوع من منظور اثنين من كبار متصوفة الإسلام، وهما: الحلاج وابن عربي، وذلك لأهمية هذه المسألة التي يمكن أن تتصل على نحو ما بفهمنا وقراءتنا للمعاني المؤسسة لحقائق الأديان عامة، والتوحيدية منها على وجه الخصوص...
ولعل هذه المقاربة تكشف بعد عن وجه آخر من وجوه فكرة الحقيقة لدى المتصوفة في صلتها بالدين والإنسان واللغة، إذ تبدو الإنسانية في فلسفتهم مطابقة لذاتها رغم تعدد الألوان والألسن والأعراق والبيئات... مما يعطي دفعاً قوياً ومشروعية مستحقة لحوار خلاق وعقلاني ومثمر يقوم بين الأديان والحضارات. وأرى أن نظرية المتصوفة في الحقيقة الدينية وفلسفتهم في مفهوم وحدة الأديان يمكن أن تشكلا رافداً معرفياًَ ومنطلقاً أخلاقياً لهذا الحوار المنشود.
