بين أيدينا رواية ليست كباقي الروايات، من حيث اهتمامها بالبعد الرابع، من أبعاد البناء الروائي، دون أن يؤثر هذا الاهتمام على الأبعاد الثلاثة الأخرى، فنحن نعلم أن البنية الروائية تقوم على أبعاد أربع، فهي تنتقل بالبعد الزماني أو الظرفي الإخباري المعرفي، إلى بعد إبداعي يقوم على العلاقات الاجتماعية ويتبلور في نسيج فني.
هذا إلى جانب الإنتقال بالبعد المكاني الظرفي الجغرافي، إلى بعد إبداعي يشارك في النسيج ويتبلور معه فنياً، أيضاً إلى جانب البعد الإنساني الذي يحول (الأشخاص) إلى (شخوص) روائيين، ومن ثم يجيء البعد الرابع وهو اللغة، التي تقيم العلاقات بين هذه الأبعاد الثلاثة، من بعد أن تتحول من (لغة القول المعرفي) إلى لغة (فن القول)، ومن ثم إلى خلق توازن بين هذه الأبعاد الأربعة كي لا يتغلب بعدُ على آخر، في بناء الرواية.
