نعم إنّ كتابَ محسن الجمّال يحملُ في طيّاتِ صفحاتهِ عبارةَ "شو حلو مبارح" فحكايتُه تعودُ بنا إلى زمنٍ لن يعود، إلى طفولةٍ، كم يتمنّى واحدُنا لو يعودُ إليها، لِيعيشَ يوماً منها، ولو دفعَ ما يملكُ من ثابتٍ ومنقول: "يا مين يرجّعني زغير، وياخد مالك يا دني...".
أما فاتحةُ الكتاب فقد ضمَّنَها نظرتَهُ إلى الأدب والشعر والفنِّ والإبداع بعامّةٍ، وهو فيها صاحِبُ رؤيةٍ ورؤيا، يُجاري الذين نُذِروا لهذه الموهبةِ التي يخُصُّ فيها الباري مُصطفيهِ من أهلِ القلم.
قدّمَ لنا محسن الجمّال، في هذا الكتاب، مائدةً شهيّةً من حكايات الأمسِ والطفولةِ، وقد أرجعَنا إلى حدٍّ كبيرٍ، صغاراً، كم تمنّينا لو نحيا إلى جانبهم في شطحاتهم، وهم قريبون من الباري تعالى... كما قدَّمَ غيرَ موضوعٍ واحدٍ ليكونَ عنواناً لدراساتٍ أكاديمية، أو لرسائل جامعية، يكون الجديدُ هدَفَها، لنبقى على علاقةٍ مع هذا التراثِ الكبير...
