ولعل المؤسف أن تاريخ الامة المعاصر وبخاصة ذلك الذي امتد منذ عهد الإستخراب المغربي حتى الإحتلال - كما يسميه المناضل المغربي علال الفأس - ويقصد الإستقلال تحت عباءة الإحتلال - إما أن يكون قد دفن مع أصحابه، أو لا يزال يتوارى عن أعين العسس القابع عند كل هاجس من هواجس الحقيقة الباحثة عن منفذ أو يتلجلج في صدور الشرفاء ولا يقوى على الظهور.
هذه المذكرات كتبها رجلٌ كان أحد صانعي أحداث المرحلة الحرجة من أحداث سوريا، والتي تعرف بمرحلة الانقلابات العسكرية في الخمسينات وحتى الستينات من القرن العشرين هذه المذكرات تكشف أسرار خفية غامضة، غنية بالأسماء والتواريخ بل واللقاءات السرية التي لم يكشف حتى الآن على ما دار فيها.
