"أرضي هل تدرين، كيف يحب شاعرٌ أرضه؟، وهل تدرين، كيف يصون مخلصٌ عرضه؟، وعل تدرين كيف يشعل الوجد، ويحيي الأمل؟؟، وهل تدرين، هل تدرين، كيف يرسم الفرح يناغي الورد، يستجدي رحيق الزهر، يكتبها قصائد؟؟؟، وهل تدرين يا أرضي؟ وأنت حبيبتي الحلوة!، كيف يهمس الشاعر؟، كيف يصرخ الشاعر؟، كيف يئن، كيف يجن، كيف يموت مسحوقاً من القهر...؟؟ كيف يموت مغموراً، ومنسياً ومطعوناً من الظهر! ومصلوباً على الأعواد، مسلوباً من الطهر؟؟! وهل تدرين؟، كيف يعيش بعد الموت، كيف يفيق؟، تنتفض عظامه...، ترقص روحه الحرة، مع الأرواح، ينتشر كلامه؟؟، وهل تردين بعد الموت، كيف غناؤه يبقى؟ يداعب بحة الأوتار، يخلقها حنيناً في المدى، فيرتد الصدى".
"الكلمات الهاربة" قصص وخواطر ولوحات لا تفر إلى لتلتحق مجدداً بمراكز المعاناة وتدخل القلب وتصل إلى العقل لتثير تساؤلات مجرد إثارتها يدعو إلى الاطمئنان والشعور بقوة الروح وتعزيز الثقة بالنفس. في الكلمات الهاربة يتأمل "وليد زيتوني" الشاعر، يحن، يحب، يشعر وينفعل يهدا في حركة عاطفية روحية ثم ينثر مشاعره على الكلمات ويرميها غير آبه بمذاهب الشعر وأشكال القصائد حتى يحار القارئ بين فطرة وصناعة.
بين الشعر والمعاناة قصة طويلة، يرتلها كل واحد منا على إيقاعها، لأن المعاناة لا يمكن أن تقدم نفسها إلا لمن يفهمها من داخلها فلا تعبر عن حقيقتها إلا بالكلمات الملونة حزناً وفرحاً، صمتاً وصراخاً، لترتسم نحيباً وقهقهة، دمعاً وعرقاً، سكوتاً ورقصاً، عبوساً وانفراج أسارير.
والحقيقة لا أعرف إذا كانت هذه المجموعة تنتمي إلى المعاناة، أم أن المعاناة نفسها أصبحت جزءاً منها. ولا أدري إذا كانت هذه المحاولة شعراً أو نثراً أو مناجاة، أو إذا كانت بالفعل محاولة لترتيل إيقاع القصة. وهل ستبقى كذلك بفعل الزمن؟؟ إلا أنني أعرف تماماً بأنها خرجت من عصور الوصف والرسم، ومن عصور المدح والذم، ومن زمن الإباحة والعذرية، ومن الفخر والأذلال، ومن التزمت والالتزام، ومن الحرية والتبعية.
