بين نشأته في بلاد الأرز ومشاهداته الجريئة حول مسؤولية سوريا في المأساة اللبنانية، مروراً بالدور الذي لعبته الولايات المتحدة الأميركية في تقسيم جزيرة قبرص، وحيثيات وقوفه ضد الماكينة الإعلامية الغربية خلال تغطياته الميدانية لكل من الغارات الأميركية - الأطلسية على يوغسلافيا عام 1999، والحرب الروسية في الشيشان عام 2000، والحرب على الإرهاب في أفغانستان عام 2001 ثم في الصومال عام 2002، وغزو العراق عام 2003، ووصولاً إلى قراءاته البراغماتية للمشهد الروسي في ضوء وصول فلاديمير بوتين الى سدة الحكم في الكرملين في اليوم الأول من أيام القرن الحادي والعشرين، وتوقعاته بشأن المشهد المستقبلي العربي في ضوء "فورة ربيع العرب" التي دفعته إلى اعتزال العمل الصحفي منذ مطلع عام 2011 إحتجاجاً على عدم نزاهة الإعلام العربي في التعاطي مع هذه الفورة، يقدّم الإعلامي اللبناني جمال دملج في "أصنام صاحبة الجلالة" عصارة تجربة مهنة غنية إستمرت 35 عاماً، عمل خلالها بصفة مراسل ميداني متجول لدى مؤسسات كبرى مثل "إم بي سي" و"بي بي سي" و"الجزيرة" و"أبو ظبي" و"العربية" قبل أن يترأس إدارة الأخبار في كل من "قناة صانعو القرار" و"تلفزيون أورينت" ويحاول تأسيس ماكينة إعلامية عربية نزيهة تخرج عن فلك سياسات الماكينة الإعلامية الغربية... ولو إلى حين، بغية التأكيد على شراسة دور المنظومة الإعلامية الغربية في مجال تزييف الحقائق وقلب الموازين في العالم، وذلك كله إنطلاقاً من إيمانه الراسخ والعميق بأن الصحفي هو مؤرخ اللحظة، ويفترض أن يكتب تاريخاً نظيفاً.
