وهذا الكتاب "الحصان العربي، فن وتراث" هو الجزء الثالث من موسوعة الحصان العربي يتناول بحثاً يتحدث فيه المؤلف عن الخيل في القرآن الكريم والخيل في الأحاديث النبوية الشريفة وفي الجهاد وفي أنساب الخيل، وخيل العرب المشهورة، لينتقل إلى الحصان في التاريخ القديم وذلك عند اليونانين والرومانيين والعرب ليتحدث بعد ذلك عن الخيل في العصور الوسطى والخيول النجدية وفي بادية الشام، والخيل وحملها ونتاجها والخيول العربية الشهيرة: في الحرب من الفتوحات الإسلامية والحصان العربي من خلال الفن والتراث، ومن ثم يتحدث عن الجواد عند الشعوب الأخرى، وفي الصيد، ولغة الحصان، والحصان الأبيض، ومن ثم الحصان العربي في اللغة والأدب وفي الأساطير القديمة والمثيولوجية.
