ففي إحدى القصص سيقص الراوي حكاية بطاطا تتكلم، وفي أخرى سيروي حكاية فتاة استعملت ذكائها وصبرها لتحصل على كيس من الذهب من مالك القصر العظيم وهكذا تدور القصص في هذه السلسلة لتقص حكايات هي من صميم حياة الشعوب وأخلاقها. وما يميز هذه السلسلة هو حرص مؤلفها على أن يقدم في نهاية كل حكاية مجموعة من الأسئلة واختبارات من الذكاء، أما قصص المجموعة فقد جاءت عناوينها كما يلي: إنجي وحكاياتها العجبية، عاقبة الطمع، القط الذكي، الكركي العذراء، حقول الأرز المحترقة، الأمير والجنيتان، البطاطا تتكلم، ابنة الطحان، الإمبراطور وطائرة الورق،مينو العظيم ،البطاطا تتكلم.
