Book Description
الحج هو أحد أركان الإسلام الخمسة، بعد الشهادة والصلاة، والصوم، وهو أخر ما فرض الله من الشعائر والعبادات: إذ كانت فرضيته في السنة التاسعة من الهجرة النبوية.
والحج عبادة قديمة معروفة، وكان العرب قبل الإسلام يحجون إلى البيت الحرام في مكة والذي بناه إبراهيم نبي الله وابنه إسماعيل عليهما السلام، لكن أعراف الجاهلية ابتدعت في الحج أشياء لم يأذن بها الله: اتخذوا من دونه أحجاراً وأوثاناً آلهة يعبدونها لتقربهم إلى الله زلفى، ثم نذراً لها وذبحوا باسمها، وكانوا يطوفون بالبيت الحرام عراة زاعمين أنه لا يليق بهم أن يطوفوا ببيت اله بثياب عصوا فيها وكانوا يصفقون ويصفرون ويرقصون، وقد سجل الله عليهم هذه الحالة المزرية، فقال مستنكراً أفعالهم القبيحة: (وما كان صلاتهم عند البيت إلا مكاء وتصدية).
فلما جاء الإسلام أقر الحج كمبدأ، ولكنه طهر الكعبة مما كانت عليه في الجاهلية من الجهل والشرك والعبادة لغير الله وحده، وهذا ما أمر الله به إبراهيم حينما كان يرفع القواعد من البيت الحرام: (لا تشرك بي شيئاً وطهر بيتي للطائفين والقائمين والركع السجود). ومن هنا تبدأ صلة المسلم ببيت الله الحرام لأداء فريضة الحج.
