"منتهى الإرادات" كتاب من تأليف الإمام تقي الدين محمد بن أحمد الفتوحي الشهير بابن النجار المتوفي سنة (972)هـ. وهو من أنفع الكتب الفقهية في المذهب الحنبلي. جمع فيه مؤلفه كتابين من كتب الفقه الحنبلي أولهما كتاب (المقنع) لابن قدامة المقدسي والثاني كتاب (التنقيح المشبع في تحرير أحكام المقنع) للمرداوي. وقد عمد مؤلف كتاب "منتهى الإرادات" إلى جمع ما في هذين الكتابين، مبيناً ما نشر فيهما مما يجب معرفته.
وبالنظر لأهمية هذا الكتاب فقد عكف الناس عليه وهجروا ما سواه، من كتب المتقدمين كما عكف عليه طلبة العلم وخاصة طلبة الحنابلة في عصر المؤلف. وقد قسمه المؤلف التقسيم المعهود إلى كتب، وأبواب، وفصول ولم يذكر فيه إلا ما كان عليه العمل وقد انصب عمل المحقق على المقابلة بين النسخ الخطية المتوفرة لديه، بفرض إثبات العبارة الصحيحة في المتن وضبط النص.
كما عمد إلى ذكر فوارق النسخ في الحواشي وقام بتخريج الآيات القرآنية والأحاديث النبوية والآثار. وترجم للأعلام الذين ورد ذكرهم كما عرف بالكتب والبلدان والفرق، وكما لمي فته أن يعزو غالب النقول الواردة إلى مصادرها الفقهية واللغوية.
