إن نصوص الشاعر جورج كميل شلهوب في "أجلس أحصي المتناثر سهواً من عمري" بدت مدفوعة بإحساس يمتص كل حركة من هذا الوجود، فخيالاته ملتهبة بلذة نادرة تدفعه لانتاج الشعر في لحظة ولادته وقيامه، فبدا غير هياب بالأزمنة الماضية أو تلك التي لم يأت بعد، فالشعر ميزان ضامن لامتداداته على المسافة الكلية للوجود، "أيها الشعر: تغيَر كثيراً/ ولا تغيَر شيئاً/ من يفكك/ من يفسر؟". وبهذا يكون الشعر حالة مترعة به، وكأنه يبحث عن جواب ضاع في دروب الزمن ولم يتبق منه سوى "تمارين الفراغ":/كل نهار/ تحتلي الحياة/ أجلس أحصي المتناثر/ سهواً من عمري/ بجناحي/ المتحركين بأصابع الآخرين/ أنزع عيني". هذه الرمزية عنواناً لضجيج الروح داخل الجسد عبر اللاوعي والتي ستأخذ الشعر إلى آفاق وحدود غير معلنة وغير مقيدة وإلى حيث لا يدري، وهذا ما يميز جورج كميل شلهوب في أدائه الشعري...
