عن كواليس السياسة الدولية، والتحوّلات الكبرى التي تشهدها بلدان الربيع العربي، ودور الأحزاب الدينية في خطف حلم الحرية، والمال السياسي ودوره السلبي في تأجيج الصراع. وأهم الدول التي تذكي نار الثورات، ودور مجلس الأمن الذي اكتفى بالتفرج والتصريحات، والمناخ الأميركي وعلاقة واشنطن بالإخوان المسلمين، والأحزاب الأخرى بما فيها من التباس وغموض، كل تلك الأسئلة والإشكاليات تجري مناقشتها في هذا الكتاب.
تأتي أهمية هذا الكتاب من كونه يغطي مرحلة تاريخية مفصلية في حياة الشعب المصري خاصة والعربي عامة. أما الأهم فهو ما يحذّر منه المؤلفان في ختام الكتاب "بأن أبواب مصر قد تشرع على المجهول، وأن بعض الأعمال التي يقوم بها العسكر في مصر الآن، كاعتقال وملاحقة الرموز الإخوانية وإغلاق وسائل الإعلام التابعة لهم. قد يبدد رمزية التحرّك الشعبي المصري ضد مرسي، ويسرّع في ولادة مظلومية إخوانية قد تتصاعد إلى حدود العنف، كما حصل في الجزائر 1992 ...". ويبقى الجميع في انتظار ما ستكشف عنه قادم الأيام!؟.
