مسيرته
ولد الدكتور سالم يفوت بمدينة الدار البيضاء سنة 1947 ، تابع دراسته العليا في الفلسفة بكلية الآداب والعلوم الإنسانية بالرباط حيث حصل على الإجازة سنة 1968 وعلى دبلوم الدراسات العليا سنة 1978 ثم على دكتوراه الدولة سنة 1985 .انضم سالم يفوت إلى اتحاد كتاب المغرب في دجنبر 1977 كما انتخب سنة 1992 نائبا لرئيس الجمعية العربية.
من مؤلفاته
تميز المفكر سالم يفوت بإسهاماته الفكرية الوازنة ومؤلفاته المعرفية والفلسفية القيمة نذكر منها:

لن يكون عملنا، فيما سيلي، جمعا لحياة الأشخاص، ولا جدولاً زمنياً للأحداث والوقائع: لن يكون تسجيلاً لنتائج العلوم، فذلك ما عودنا عليه تاريخ العلوم الذي لا يولي عناية لعملية إنتاج المعارف العلمية بحثاً عن الآليات الفعلية المتحكمة في تلك العملية، بل سيكون تأريخاً لحياة العلوم ومخاضها، أي تأريخاً لتاريخها الفعلي، المتمثل في نشأة التصورات العلمية وتحولها وإستمرارها أو إندثارها، والشروط المحيطة بذلك.
وهذا ما عنيناه بعبارة التأريخ الإبستمولوجي التي تعني عدم الركن إلى الوصف الإختباري للوقائع العلمية، أو سرد حوادث العلم، بل تأريخ تقدم العلاقات المعقولة للمعرفة من خلال تأريخ نشأة تصورات هاته الأخيرة والتأويلات والتوظيفات التي تتعرض لها من قبل الفلسفة بإعتبار أن الفلسفة في جميع عصورها صدى للعلم.
