تدّعي الصهيونية أن لجميع يهود العالم، باعتبارهم الأحفاد الأنقياء لقبيلة بني إسرائيل المنحدرة من يعقوب بن إسحق بن إبراهيم، الحق المقدس في العودة إلى "أرض الأجداد" فلسطين، وتملكها، وإقامة الدولة اليهودية الخالصة والنقية في "أرض الميعاد"، الأرض التي وعدهم بها الإله التوراتي. ويعتمد الصهاينة في ادعاءاتهم بشكل خاص على التوراة، الكتاب المقدس لليهود، والتي أصبحت فيما بعد كتاباً مقدساً للمسيحيين لكونها، حسب معتقدهم، كتاباً منزلاً، كل ما بين صفحاته كلام الله وهو بذلك حقائق مقدسة لا يجوز الشك في صحتها، ناهيك عن أنها كتاب تاريخ لمنطقة الشرق الأدنى ولا سيما تاريخ الإسرائيليين فيها. في هذا الإطار يأتي كتاب "داء الانفصام بين الديني والوطني" يتناول فيه المؤلف القضية الفلسطينية من خلال البحث في الإسرائيليات على ضوء التفسير القرآني وفي مناخ تاريخية التوراة يتكون الكتاب من ثلاثة فصول رئيسية: الأول يتكلم عن أكذوبة الحق التاريخي لليهود في فلسطين، والثاني عن الديانة اليهودية الأرثوذكية التي يعتمد عليها ويستخدمنها كل من الفكر الصهيوني والسياسة الإسرائيلية العنصرية، والثالث عن القضية الفلسطينية، منذ وعد بلفور مروراً بعام 1948 وإقامة دولة إسرائيل، إلى الانتفاضة الأخيرة، "انتفاضة القدس"، والمذابح التي يرتكبها الكيان الإسرائيلي ضد الشعب الفلسطيني الأعزل.
