وهو هنا يطلق صيحة تحذير مدوية من أنه إذا ما تقاعس المفكرون المنتمون إلى الثقافة الإسلامية عن القيام بعملية تفكيك الفكر الإسلامي وإعادة بنائه من جديد على أسس معاصرة، لكونهم مكبلين بالحقيقة الإيمانية المطلقة التي تحتكرها المؤسسة الدينية الكلية الجبروت، ومحكومين بسقف ليس بمقدورهم تجاوزه، فإن الفكر الغربي المتسلح بالأدوات العلمية والمنهجية الحديثة سيقوم عنهم بهذه المهمة، ولن يكون ذلك في صالح الإسلام أو المسلمين بالتأكيد.
