تعرض الإسلام ولا يزال يتعرض إلى الكثير من حملات التشكيك والتجريح من "تيار العولمة" الذي يسلك في حربه المكشوفة حيناً والمستترة أحياناً ضد الإسلام، أسلوب الترغيب والترهيب، ويستعين لذلك بجهود هيئات ومؤسسات دولية اقتصادية وسياسية وتنموية وثقافية، ومنها مختلف وسائل التأثير في الرأي العام العالمي أو المنشغلة بحقوق الإنسان. ونتيجة لذلك بدأت الكثير من التحديات تزحف مع بداية التسعينات من القرن الماضي لتفرض ذاتها على كمجتمعاتنا العربية والإسلامية، الني تمتلك بتطبيقها الإسلام، أسس عولمة تدين لها الإنسانية بالرخاء والعدل والمساواة في كل مناحي الحياة. وفي هذا الكتاب يحاول الباحث أن يفرض أفكاراُ عامة في موضوع "العولمة الإسلامية والعربية"، التي كانت نتاج الحضارة "الإسلامية العربية" العالمية، التي كانت ولا تزال حضارة تقدمية بكل معاني الكلمة،لا جمود فيها ولا رجعية.
يعرض الباحث في الفصل الأول، بمفهوم النسق الدولي العام ومفهوم عولمة "تقنية المعلومات" في حيزها، والمقصود بالعولمة "الإسلامية-العربية"، مخصصاً الفصل الثاني للتعرف إلى الحضارة الإسلامية- العربية" في تسميتها وخصائصها، وأفضالها على الحضارة الأوروبية، والتعرف إلى ما يسمى اليوم بمقولة "إيديولوجية صراع الحضارات". وفي الفصل الثالث يعرض أسس النظام السياسي في مجتمع العولمة "الإسلامية –العربية". و"بعض نتائج العولمة السياسي الحالية في التطبيق. وفي الفصول الرابع والخامس والسادس، يشير الباحث إلى الأدب والأنظمة الاجتماعية والمالية في الإسلام، وإلى الأخلاق الاجتماعية الأسرية الإسلامية، وإلى حقوق المرأة في الإسلام، وإلى نظرة "تيار العولمة" إلى الأسرة اللانمطية وإلى المرأة، مختتماً الباحث بخلاصة للقول وعرض فيها النتائج التي تم انتهاؤها إليها.
