هذا التقرير محاولة جادة وهادفة في رصد ظاهرة إجتماعية ودينية جديدة لها تأثيرها في الفكر والسلوك العام في المجتمع الإسلامي، وهي ظاهرة " التدين الجديد " المنبثقة عما يسمى بالدعاة الجدد.
والمقصد في هذا التقرير هو مشاركة الجميع ومدارسة المنتسبين لهذه الظاهرة إبتداء في صوابية الرؤية، ومن ثم صوابية التعامل الميداني وفقاً لهذه الرؤية، حتى لا تكرس هذه الظاهرة خطاً جديداً في قائمة خطوط الإفتراق التي إبتليت بها الأمة.
والمرجعية المعتمدة في دراسة هذه الظاهرة هي الكتاب والسنة، والمحكمات الشرعية المتفق عليها بين علماء المسلمين، والإعتضاد بالآثار الواقعية المترتبة عليها، فالصواب ينتج منه الصواب، والخطأ يولد أخطاءً.
