من رواية ربى منصور الأولى (حبة ماس) إلى هذه الرواية (معبر المشاعر) تحضر مرياناً العابثة اللاهية ونغم الهادئة الشابة تعتمل في أعماقها امرأة تجاوزت السبعين، تبحث عن البراءة في المساءات الصامتة، ووجوه العابرين التائهة. ومثل مريانا تبدو شخصيات ربى منصور كياناً يمور بالحب والجنس والأمومة والذكورة، كياناً مصلوباً، هنا خلف القضبان، ويحاول " أن يمزق لوحات الجحيم" فتشتبك الأحداث والأصوات، ويتلفع العالم الروائي بالوحشة المريعة والعفوية المدهشة والخفة والسحرية الرهيفة. لربى منصور حقاً أن تدل برسم الشخصية الروائية، فهذا يسعى إلى الحفر في الوعي واللاوعي الفردي والجماع، وهذه تخلق فوق المعنى، وهذا عاشق ومحافظ ومارق ومتدين معاً، وهذه لا حياة لها إلا بالكتابة، وتلك مشبوحة بين امتلاك الجرأة وخشية الواقع، وهذه تخادع شبح الموت، وتلك تلملم أشلاء الحكاية وهذا يروم الواقع حرفياً، ولا تنقصه غير العفوية التي تكتب بها مريانا، ليلامس حواف الغيب... لقد تميزت تجربة ربى منصور في القصة القصيرة بالثراء اللغوي وبنشاط المخيلة في العلم والماورائيات، حتى إذا أقبلت على الرواية، أخّذ كل ذلك يتضاعف ويتدفق ويختلف، ويتلون، ليكون لحضور هذه الكاتبة في المشهد الروائي المتلاطم، بهاؤه.
