إن منهج البحث العلمي هو الطريقة التي تحاول أن تسير عليها كل معرفة جدية، في أي حقل من حقول العلوم المختلفة من هندسة وطب ورياضيات وفيزياء... إضافة إلى الفقه والتشريع والقانون والعلوم الإنسانية كلها. ولا يقتصر هذا المنهج على المعرفة العلمية وجانب من المعرفة الدينية الفقه والتشريع تحديداً بل يمتد إلى كل معرفة فلسفية رصينة, فهو ليس مقتصر على العلوم فقط, وإنما سمي تجاوزاً بها فربما لإعطائه صفة الحتمية القطعية فاليقين؟!. وهذا المنهج أي الطريقة التي يستخدمها العقل الإنساني للفهم, في أي حقل معرفي, ينبغ من المنطق, ويستند على القدرة الإنسانية التي تميز الإنسان بفكر سببي في فهم الأشياء, وبها يستطيع أن يحدس بترابطاتها, فيما يسمى بالفهم العام. إن استناد البحث العلمي في كل مناهجه على المنطق, واستناد المنطق على الحس العام, وطبيعته التي لاتستوعب إلا رموز الأمور, هو أساس المنطق الرياضي عند رسل, ومفهوم الترميز المنطقي أي المنطق الرمزي في علم المنطق, لذلك قال أنشتين: إن كل ما في العلم لا يزيد عن كونه تمحيصاً لطرق التفكير اليومية المعاشة. ومن أهم موضوعات االكتاب: حكمة المنهج العلمي, لا مشروطية الحق كأساس لكل منطق, أسس طريق الميتافيزياء نحو الحق, رفض الميتافيزياء بالفكر وتبديها بالوعي, شروط المشروط بالمنطق وصلته بالميتافيزياء, أسس علم المنطق, الترميز والاستغراق والامبيريقية, الابستمولوجيا, البنيوية ونظرية المعرفة, مكان الحواس من المعرفة, اتجاهات في الابستمولوجيا, حدود السببية, هل أنت مثالي أم واقعي.
هاني يحيى نصري مواليد 1946 ليسانس في الفلسفة وعلم الاجتماع جامعة دمشق 1970، دكتوراه في الفلسفة الاجتماعية جامعة فوردهام بدرجة امتياز، أستاذ علم الاجتماع المساعد في جامعة الملك عبد العزيز.
