هذا الكتاب: يعتمد النمط الحديث في تحديد القرابات. كما يتضمن الكتاب لوحة تعريف بالتسمية الحديثة للقرابات مترجمة عن اللغة الإنكليزية و تلك التسميات ستبقى مؤقتة لحين صدور مرادفات عربية معتمدة. و من الممكن تلخيص منهج العمل في هذا الكتاب حسب التسلسل التالي: يأخذ الأسماء من مصادر البحث المختلفة, و يوزعها حسب التسلسل المنطقي الحديث للقرابات, و ينشئ رابطة بين كل اسم جديد يدخل القائمة مع الاسم الذي يحمل أقرب قرابة ( مثال الابن يرتبط مع الأب ). و تبدأ شبكة القرابات بالاتساع كلما أضفنا اسماً جديداً, أي قرابة جديدة لنسيج تلك المنظومة. يعيد الكتاب ربط كافة الأسماء مع بعضها البعض لتوثيق القرابات المزدوجة بين أصحابها و للتأكد من صلة الوصل قبل تثبيت تلك الشبكة. و بعدها يعرض الكتاب نتائج البحث بإحدى أو ببعض أو بجميع الوسائط التالية: التقارير النسبية حيث يمكن إضافة التواريخ ( ولادة زواج وفاة) و النبذات و ما يلزم من معلومات ضرورية لبعض أصحاب القرابات حسب الحال. و المسلسلات الهندسية التي تقتصر على جداول القرابات بحيث تتضمن الأسماء فقط. و المشجرات الهندسية التي تشابه المسلسلات و لكن بشكل موسع بعض الشيء بحيث يرد اسم كل فرد ضمن صندوق مستطيل يتسع فقط لزوجة واحدة. و بتعدد الأزواج ينشأ صندوق إضافي لكل حالة زواج. و لائحة بأسماء الأقرباء لشخص معين مما تضمنه الكتاب. و الفهارس التي تفهرس ما جاء في التقارير النسبية من أسماء بحسب أرقامها المترتبة من جيل إلى جيل. و بذلك يجد الباحث حلاً مناسب لاستخراج معلومة معينة مستعيناً به عن اللجوء إلى كتب الأنساب التقليدية بما يقتضيه ذلك من عبء و وقت. و هذا الكتاب يحتوي: مخطط يظهر بعض أجداد أبي طالب, سلالة بني أبي طالب, بحث مختصر في سلالة آل أبي طالب, مشجرة مختصرة 6 أجيال لسلالة أبي طالب, مشجرة مختصرة 7 أجيال لسلالة الحسن بن علي, مشجرة مختصرة 7 أجيال لسلالة الحسين بن علي, مشجرة مختصرة لسلالة محمد ابن الحنفية بن علي, لائحة بأقرباء محمد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم المباشرين من سلالة بني هاشم مما تضمنه الكتاب. لوحة تعريف بالأسماء الحديثة للقرابات.
