يربط بين هذه المجموعة القصصية خيط متين. أحكم الكاتب وثاقه وجعله عنواناً لهذا الكتاب "فجر الغضب". هو الغضب على الظلم والقهر والاستبداد والتحكم برقاب العباد وخيراتهم. ظلم الانسان لأخيه الإنسان.ظلم الأنظمة لشعوبها. ظلم الدول الكبيرة والغنية للدول الصغيرة والفقيرة. بأسلوبه الروائي الشيّق ومفرداته العفوية وجمله السلسة يفجّر "محسن الوكيلي" غضب المظلوم على الظالم كي ينبثق فجر العدل والحق والحرية والمساواة.
"وتذكرت شوارع باريس، وداعة الصقيع والشفاه المبتسمة واللعنة وبرودة دفء بغداد القاتلة. راودتني عبر متاهات بؤس الأحياء الأخيرة أفكار بلهاء، أن أقود قطاراً سجلت على امتداد مقصوراته أسماء المفقودين والموتى والثكالى والمفجوعين وأصرخ بمكبر صوت معلناً أن هناك، بالجانب الآخر من الكوكب، في الوقت الذي يشرب فيه الروس كؤوس الفودكا ويرقص الأميركيون على إيقاعات جاز ويتملى اللاتينيون صور تشي ويدخن الكوبيون سيجار فيديل، أن هناك بالجانب الآخر، عالماً حقيقياً يُزرع فيه الموت والرعب وحقد لا يموت".
