بين شعر التفعيلة بتقاليدها، والشعر الحديث الذي لا يقل عن الأول، لا في الروعة ولا في السبك، يأتي ديوان الأديب الشاعر "سميح الضهر" يحاكي الوجع وخيبة الأمل على قهر وظلم طاول البلاد أفراداً وجماعات، في الحياة الشخصية والعامة، وفي الحياة الوطنية والاجتماعية.
وفي هذا العمل يأخذك الشاعر في دوامة التاريخ. من أيام الخلفاء والحكام الى أيام أولي الأمر والموظفين الحاليين ليذكرك في كل حرف، في كل بيت شعر، في كل قصيدة يطلقها - كالرصاص الصائب - تورط القيمين على السلطة في "لفلفة الجرائم وفي إضاعة الحقيقة ليحل مكانها التزوير" أما الحل لا يكون "إلا بثورة شاملة على الفساد والإفساد وعلى الطائفية وغولها الذي لا يشبع".
"إلامَ؟" انه السؤال - التحدي الذي يحفزك على الالتحام مع الجماهير العربية الهادرة في مسيرة الحرية والتغيير، يقول: "قم أخي في ديارك/ ولنشارك ولنشارك/ أبشري يا ساحة الشهداء/ بيروت يا أم الحدائق/ أنا آتٍ بعد حسني/ سأشارك..."
يقسم الكتاب الى أربعة أقسام الأول بعنوان "لمسات" ويتضمن كلمات في الشاعر وشعره لكل من: متروبوليت عكار وتوابعها باسيليوس، ود. ماري ناصيف الدبس، راجي الأسمر، أحمد عبد الفتاح، ونقولا عيسى. أما الأقسام الثلاثة التالية فتجمع قصائد الشاعر في ثلاثة عناوين رئيسية هي: (مع السائلين - مع المعذبين - ومع الغزليين) وهي بمجموعها مثل وجهة نظر كاتبها وتجربته في الحياة
أما أنتِ يا رياحُ ... توأمت فيك الجراح ... فالحراك حلّ فجراً ... ما أُحيلاه صباحُ ... لا تثوري بانفعال ... ها هو ضبضب المليارَ طاغٍ، وسلاحُ النصر ضاع والرماحُ صوّبي المجرى صحيحاً ... ردّي لي ما بأيديهم طغاةُ! كبّليهم لعنةُ الشعب عليهم والنواحُ لعنةُ الله عليهم ... حين كانوا .. حين راحو
