حين وطأت دبابات الاحتلال الأمريكية أرض بغداد... منذ أكثر من خمس سنوات.. وطأت عراقاً (موحداً)... لكنه ليس (واحداً)... أردك معظم العراقيين أن هناك عدداً من الأسئلة المشككة بالهوية الواحدة للدولة الحديثة الراحلة، أولها يتعلق بماهية الهوية العراقية. فمن هو العراقي؟ ومن هو ليس كذلك؟
ولكن قبلاً يجب التساؤل عما تعنيه الهوية؟ وما الذي يحدد شرطها؟ وهل هي لغة أم ثقافة؟ وبأي مفهوم للثقافة؟ وهل أن الهوية مبنية على الأحادية أن إن محورها قائم على التعدد؟ فإذا ما كان المرء وحيداً في الكون فهل يعقل أن تكون له هوية؟ وما الذي يجعل انتماءً بشرياً منتجاً في حين لا يجعل الآخر كذلك؟ وهل يمكن أن نسأل الآن: من نحن؟ كما فعل سامويل هنتنغتون ذلك، أو أن نحاول معرفة ماهية هويتنا؟ أم أن السؤال يبدو جنوناً هو الآخر؟ وهل هناك فعلاً أزمة في الهوية؟، أم أنها أزمة بأصل الاجتماع السياسي للعراقيين... أي أزمة وجود بالأصل؟ إذ هل شكلت التجمعات الاجتماعية العراقية -تقليدية أم حداثية- مجتمعاً موحداً ذات يوم في تاريخها؟ هذه الأسئلة وغيرها مما سنحاول إجابته عبر البحث الحالي.
والبحث في عنوانه ذاك، وموضوعاته تلك اقتضى تقسيمه إلى ثلاثة مباحث، هي: عناصر البحث، وفي التنظير السوسيولوجي للهوية، وفي الواقع الاجتماعي للهوية العراقية، وانتهى البحث أخيراً بخاتمة.
سؤال الهوية من الأسئلة التي تتجدد دائماً في أزمنة المخاضات الصعبة والتحولات الجذرية أو الحادة التي يشهدها المجتمع، والتي تدعو إلى إعادة هيكلة المسلمات ونظم العلائق السائدة.. وهذا ما يشهده العراق منذ صدمة الانقلاب الحاد على 2003.
الهوية قبل كل معطى تاريخي، وكل معطى تاريخي له صيرورته الدائمة، فهي ليست ثابتاً مغلقاً فرغ الزمن من تكوينه، وهذا ما يفسر عودة إلحاحها على التشكل من جديد مع المتغيرات الكبرة، وما تستدعيه هذه العودة من أزمات، وربما عنف وانتكاسات، لكنها تبقى متجهة نحو تحقيق ذاتها.
