ولأهمية هذه الخطب والكلمات اهتم الصحابة والتابعين والعلماء بحفظها مدوّنة حتى لا تضيع مع مرور الزمن. ومن الكتب التي دّونت أو جمعت كلمات الإمام "نثر اللئالئ" وهو هذا الكتيب الذي بين أيدينا والذي اهتم "محمد تقي باقر" بإعادة جمعه من جديد في هذا الكتيب الصغير محققاً مضمونه وشارحاً لمعاني ألفاظه الغامضة.
